Quality Student Leadership Training Since 1956
The Association of Washington Student Leaders (AWSL) is a division of the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP) through its non-profit organization, the Washington School Principals' Education Foundation. Since 1956, AWSL has offered leadership education for all ages with proven programs, custom curriculum, and experiential opportunities that promote school-wide social and emotional growth.
The Association of Washington Student Leaders:
Trains and empowers students to lead.
Supports adults engaged in student success.
Provides resources for engagement and empowerment.
Promotes the value of students as leaders.
Who: The Association of Washington Student Leaders (AWSL) empowers students to lead and make positive change within their schools, communities, and themselves.
What: We design and provide fun, hands-on programs for all ages that build school community, promote students as leaders and teach social responsibility for all ages.
Why: Education is about more than the classroom experience. It’s about creating curious learners, thoughtful community members and confident leaders.
How: We offer proven programs, custom curriculum and experiential opportunities that range from leadership development to interactive team building to school-wide social and emotional growth training.

The Washington School Principals Education Foundation
Washington School Principals’ Education Foundation’s mission is the development, implementation, and reinforcement of social-emotional learning for students, PreK-16 in safe, productive, and engaging settings.
Our work within WSPEF is grounded in the belief that a well-rounded education must include SEL for the whole child, all grades, all levels, to increase their academic and social success, decrease emotional distress, and promote positive behaviors.
Our Board of Directors are part of the Association of Washington School Principals.
