Every school arrives at the Team Retreat with a different mission and that’s exactly what makes it so powerful. Some teams come ready to map out a big project. Others use the time to welcome and integrate brand-new leaders into their program. Many arrive eager to unite their elected officers and hit the ground running.

No matter your focus, the retreat is built to spark transformation through engaging, hands-on leadership training that dives into:

  • Leadership 101 – The foundations you need to lead with confidence.

  • School Culture & Climate – Building spaces where everyone belongs.

  • Personal Growth – Growing as a leader and as a person.

  • Collaborative Leadership – Turning “I” into “We.”

  • Connection & Networking – Learning from leaders across the state.

You’ll also explore how student leadership directly fuels school success, guided by the AWSP Leadership Framework, from creating a positive culture and engaging your community, to ensuring safety, closing gaps, and planning with purpose.

Throughout the retreat, student leaders and advisers connect, share ideas, and craft action plans to launch into the new year. The magic is powered by AWSL’s summer camp staff and our incredible team of Resident Counselors, high school and college-aged leaders who model what’s possible, lead activities, and keep the energy high from the dorms to the workshops.

This isn’t just a retreat, it’s where goals turn into game plans, and leaders step into their next chapter!

    • Dates: Friday, Oct. 16 - Sunday Oct. 18.

    • Begins Friday, 3:00 p.m. Ends Sunday @ Noon

    • Location: Pinelow is located 30 miles north of Spokane

    • Cost: AWSL member schools: $225 per participant.

    • Cost: Non AWSL member schools: $275 participant.

    • Last day to register: October 9, 2026.

    • Eastern Washington (Pinelow) Important Retreat Info:

    • Registration fee includes all materials and meals, starting with Friday dinner and ending with a lunch on Sunday. The first meal is DINNER on Friday evening. Please be sure students eat a snack before arrival at camp.

    • Each school delegation must have an attending adviser. Advisers will be responsible for their delegates' medical concerns. Advisers will be housed in a separate dorm and will not be responsible for dorm supervision.

    • Plan to arrive between 2:00pm - 2:30pm. on Friday for registration. The retreat begins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and concludes at Noon on Sunday.

    • Cancellations:Cancellations received after October 9th will result in full charges. We encourage schools to find substitutions for students who cancel after the deadline.

    • Dates: Sunday, Oct. 25 - Tuesday, Oct. 27.

    • Begins Sunday, 3:00 p.m. Ends Tuesday @ Noon

    • Location: The Cispus Learning Center is located off of Hwy 12 in Randle.

    • Cost: AWSL member schools: $225 per participant (+tax).

    • Cost: Non-AWSL member schools: $275 per participant (+tax).

    • Last day to register: October 19, 2026.

    • Western Washington (Cispus Learning Center)  Important Retreat Info:
