Reimagining Recess
Information:
Reimagining Recess is a dynamic training for paraprofessionals and recess staff provided by the Association of Washington Student Leaders.
Turn playtime into a lab for connection, problem-solving, and leadership. Recess is where students practice real life. We help schools make that practice intentional, inclusive, and fun.
Who it’s for:
Paraeducators, recess teams, counselors, teachers, and student leaders who want safer play, stronger belonging, and fewer conflicts.
This training features:
Connection games.
Name games.
Theme and Variation games.
Mindfulness activities.
Conflict Resolution Strategies.
Indoor and Outdoor Recess Games.
Access to our Reimagining Recess video and resource library.
Implement these practices with your recess schedule and context.
Students as leaders to support recess success.
and much more!
How it works:
You learn by doing. We model the games at an adult pace so you can use them immediately. Sessions mix action, reflection, and planning for your campus. You leave with ready-to-run games, scripts, and strategies.
