Western Leaders Summit
Bringing together student leaders from across the western United States
Western Leaders Summit is a transformative leadership experience providing in-depth instruction in essential topics. Working closely with students from other states, delegates learn and practice leadership skills and concepts through experiential activities and opportunities to lead and grow. Students participate in learning situations focusing on fundamental leadership skills and concepts such as group process, decision making, communication, relationships, equity and civility.
The Challenge Course is an essential element for instruction and personal growth at Western Leaders. A capstone project focusing on Global and Social Justice rounds out the camp experience, with student leaders designing a campaign to make their schools and communities a better place.
The Western Leaders Summit is held at the Chewelah Peak Learning Center in Chewelah, Washington, about one hour north of Spokane.
Students may attend individually or as part of a school or state group.
An adviser strand is offered for advisors traveling with students.
