Updated with a brand-new keynote address for 2026, I AM | WE ARE is a ready-to-use program designed for school assemblies and MLK Day commemorations. The package includes a keynote address, implementation guide, engagement questions, and access to AWSL Director James Layman, all in a flexible format you can customize to fit your school’s needs.

What is included in my purchase?
Assembly implementation guide
School-wide discussion and family engagement questions
Two versions of the keynote speech (one with captions embedded into the video file and another that can be turned on or off).
Access to James Layman throughout the process of putting your assembly together. If you have any questions, need support, or require guidance, James will be available to assist you.
Where do I watch the video?
Watch the video in the AWS Learning Lab, or use the download button in the bottom right of the player controls to play the video anywhere.
How long is the keynote speech?
Elementary school speech runs around 9 minutes.
Secondary school speech runs around 14 minutes.
How will everything be delivered to schools?
Everything will be sent digitally. The speech will be available for download in a digital format for you to use.
I’m a K–12 or K–8 school. Do I need to purchase both versions?
No, if you’re a K–12 or K–8, email Christine Bryan for special pricing and purchasing instructions.
