AWSL SVN ELECTIONS | 2025 - 2025
Candidate: Aanchal Batwara
Aanchal Batwara | Candidate Video
Hey SVN! My name is Aanchal Batwara, and my AWSL journey began during my freshman year. Now in my third year, I'm ready to serve as your next SVN President and take our organization to new heights.
Although this isn't a campaign video for AWSL –– this represents my knee-deep dedication ready to bring AWSL to an even larger success. This is the leader YOU will meet, and this video is fun, catchy, and memorable that I believe serves a strong purpose and will be able to convince you that you are handing AWSL into reliable, and safe hands.
My leadership journey began in elementary school, flourished as ASB President in middle school, and continues today as ASB Vice President at Tesla STEM High School. I've also gained valuable experience by serving on the several youth boards (ex: Sammamish Youth Board & East King County Youth Court). From spearheading the construction of a new turf field at Inglewood Middle School to driving record attendance at Tesla STEM events, I've demonstrated my ability to create meaningful impact—and I'm ready to bring this experience to the state level.
SVN has already accomplished so much: establishing our digital presence, creating popular merchandise, launching an impactful podcast, and developing the groundbreaking the Educational Advocacy Summit and Grant Bill. It is my job to continue leveraging my leadership into taking it to the next level. As the current Co-chair of the Advocacy and Policy Committee for the last 2 years, I've led over 30 members through productive monthly meetings and fun activities. Together, we've launched our most ambitious project in two years—the Educational Advocacy Summit & Grant Bill—which we'll continue to develop next year. We've already engaged with Ms. Roz Thompson and several legislators at the state capitol, but with YOUR support, we can achieve even more.
AWSL SVN has provided me with invaluable experiences, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to create successful initiatives. My goal is to empower every Associated Washington Student Leader to thrive, knowing that the foundations we build in high school—our relationships, values, and approach to leadership—shape our future impact. I want each of you to maximize this leadership experience while feeling genuinely included and valued. We are writing a shared legacy, and I see my role as the one who helps guide the pen.

Best,
Aanchal Batwara

Candidate: Vince Schille
Hello AWSL SVN!
I am running for president out of pure passion towards our cause,
Vince Schille | Candidate Video
We have so much opportunity and talent here in the student voice network, and I am just begging to stay on the team. I am so full of passion towards everything we are involved in- however I am aware that we unfortunately lack certain qualities and with me at the top, as a motivated, ultra organized leader I will reform our movement into something far greater than what you joined previously. This includes but is not limited to:
Macro expansion
We will be everywhere. I mean everywhere. Everyone who is involved will have a personal role to play- getting folks at their schools aware of us- and getting the opportunity to get their voices heard. Recruiting to AWSL will reach before unseen numbers.
Making the most of our talents
We have seen certain areas of our network fall due to unorganized demotivation. This will be put to an end, we will constantly be on the front lines, getting people fired up and as full of life as I am.
Broader outreach
As said before we want to be everywhere, and with all of our unique gifts and expertise we will be sending letters to politicians and news networks being the front line for student voices.
I have so many plans it’s limitless, give me your vote and I will pour gas onto the fire of energy my peers and I have here at SVN.
I have hosted and founded the Beyond Leadership podcast, which has been referred to as the shining star of our program. I will turn our network into a galaxy- the kind of thing you seen in the sky after dark at Cispus.
I am a fighter, hiker, follower of Jesus, student, debater, and God-willing, your President.
Sincerely, Vincent Karuza Schile
