AWSL Impact Award
Celebrating the Profound Impact of Student Leaders
The Impact Award was created in April 2015 by the AWSL Steering Committee. This group of student leaders sought to create a recognition program that honored schools that made a meaningful impact in their student body, community, region, or state. The Impact Award has no deadline, standard rubric, or yearly quota, but is instead awarded when such recognition is justified. Guided by the Impact Award Mission Statement, AWSL staff and Executive Committee members receive nominations, which are then investigated and discussed. Nominations for the Impact Award will be accepted at a later date. Instructions will be posted on this page.
Impact Award Mission Statement
The Impact Award will be given to remarkable schools that display values such as integrity, service, inclusion, compassion, and authenticity and take pragmatic action with this spirit to meet a need in their school or community.
