High School Winter Retreat at Chewelah Peak

Energizing and equipping students for a successful school year

Join us this February as the Association of Washington Student Leaders (AWSL) welcomes student leaders and their advisers to the High School Winter Retreat at the Chewelah Peak Learning Center.

Student leaders at the Winter Retreat will learn a variety of leadership skills that will help motivate them for the rest of year, and will get the opportunity to meet other leaders from around the state.

Our goals for the Winter Retreat will be:

  • REFLECT - Review the progress of the school year as a leadership team, and for student leaders to consider their individual growth as a leader.
  • RECHARGE - Energize your team and individuals in a beautifully wooded setting: learn new skills, experience unique opportunities and gain tangible ways to serve and lead.
  • REFOCUS - Evaluate and establish goals and group commitments, and get motivated for a strong end of the school year!

This retreat is for Advisers and/or their student leaders. Students will spend time in school teams and as individuals in large and small group settings. We will be offering a separate optional strand for advisers as well. Join us whether you are new as an adviser or experienced as we talk shop, celebrate, network, train and provide support to your school’s student leaders.

Registration information can be found on our registration forms page.
