AWSL Fall Leadership Conference
Energizing and equipping students and advisers for a successful year
Our first AWSL Fall Leadership Conference (formerly called the WASC Conference) was hosted in 1980 at Lindbergh High School in Renton. Since then, the three-day Fall Leadership Conference has grown to serve around a thousand students annually from across the state. Each year the conference is hosted by a different high school in the state. A highlight of the annual conference is the home stay program. Student delegates are invited into the homes of the local community. Additionally, all small group workshops are taught by student leaders.
Student participants in this conference will:
- Gain skills and ideas to bring back to their school by attending small group workshops
- Listen to keynote speakers
- Interact with host families in the area
- Participate in the conference service project
The 2016 AWSL Fall Conference will be held October 14-16 at Mark Morris High School in Longview, and is being hosted by Longview and Kelso area schools. More details on the conference will be made available after the start of the 2016-17 school year.
